Wayne Stewart

Mr. Stewart received a Bachelor of Science degree from Methodist University and a Masters in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill. He began his career in public health in 1987 as an Environmental Health Specialist with the Cumberland County Health Department where he later advanced to the position of Program Specialist. In 2002, he accepted a position of Environmental Health Specialist with Wake County. He has been employed in Bladen County since 2005 as the Health Director.

Mr. Stewart is a member of various public health associations across the state, and has served on various committees related to environmental health issues. Mr. Stewart is also a U.S. Navy veteran.
