Ms. Campen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1996 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Geology. She worked with a private environmental company for four years before being employed in Environmental Health in Craven County. She has also been employed in Lenoir County and Beaufort, South Carolina in Environmental Health. Ms. Campen has been employed at Pamlico County Health Department since 2007.
Ms. Campen is a member of the Eastern District North Carolina Public Health Association Environmental Health Section and has served as past treasurer and current secretary. She is also a member of the Pamlico Community College Environmental Science Advisory Committee.
