A graduate of UNC-Asheville with major in Environmental Studies-Pollution Control, Felissa Vazquez began her public health career in the Wastewater Discharge Elimination Program of North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. In 2004, she moved to the Buncombe County Health and Human Services’ Environmental Health division where she worked in both the Onsite Wastewater Section and the Food and Lodging Section. Felissa currently holds authorizations in Food and Lodging, Pools, Child Care, Lead, and On-Site Wastewater, and currently serves as Buncombe’s Food and Lodging Supervisor.
